The Next Generation Network, Globacom, will on
Friday take its entertainment package for Nigerian students, the
Glo Campus Storm, to the precincts of the University of
Nigeria, Nsukka.
The Nsukka show is the fifth of the 24 campuses
that would savour the Glo Campus Storm. For the past few days,
Nsukka had been agog with the news of the show and the A-listers that would
entertain at the event.
Fast rising hip hop act Runtown, God-win crooner,
Korede Bello, and Nabania exponent, Chinedu Okoli, popularly
called Flavour, are billed to perform at the show, while humour merchant,
Gordons, is expected to compere the show and DJ Neptune will dazzle on the
wheel of steel.
Glo Campus Storm has
generated huge interest amongst Nigerian students following successful hosting
of the show at the University of Port Harcourt, Enugu Campus of University of
Nigeria, Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, and University of Uyo which hosted the
event last Friday.
Unprecedented crowds made up of students, members
of staff of the institutions and entertainment lovers from within and outside
the Campuses turned up at the shows to relish the fun offered by Globacom.
The company said the Glo Campus Storm was
designed to offer students nationwide “rich entertainment value, and also give
them the opportunity of winning delightful prizes and becoming Glo Campus
ambassadors”.
The 2016 edition of Glo Campus Storm will
be held in nineteen other campuses nationwide. “Students wishing to attend the
concert in any of the campuses are required to recharge their Glo lines with
N500 Campus Booster plan to be admitted into the show”, the company added.
