Commerce and Industry, LCCI, has lauded the

Dr. Mike Adenuga for what it described as "his

Akande in her opening
address at the Globacom Special Day which was a
feature
of the recently concluded 30th Lagos International Trade Fair at the
Tafawa Balewa Square.
According to
her, it was instructive that "latest figures from the Nigerian
Communications Commission (NCC) confirmed Globacom as the
leader in new lines
subscription for amassing 5 million new subscribers between June 2015 and June
2016. This represents a growth of 68 per cent of all new subscriptions".
She further disclosed
that she was fulfilled that the Lagos Trade
Fair
which had been consistently organised in the last 29 years had
grown significantly
to such an enviable height that it is now regarded as the biggest
and best in West Africa.
Head, Corporate
Sales, Kamaldeen Shonibare said that Globacom was
participating in the
Fair as a result of its firm belief in Nigeria as an economic entity.
He described the
theme of the Fair "Positioning the Nigerian Economy
for Diversification
and Sustainable Growth" as timely and complementary of the efforts of the
Federal government to enhance the economy.
While saying that the
best strategy to reverse the current economic
recession was
patronage of home-made goods and services by all and
sundry, Shonibare
added that Globacom was committed to availing the
populace the
best and most cost-effective products and services.
