You can ‘eazily’ describe him as the new thing happening to
the African music scene going by the hits singles he’s been churning out
ranging from Skin Tight, Holl Up and Dance For Me.
Currently on a Campus Tour that started from his alma mater,
Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST, you can easily
conclude that Mr. Eazi has seen it all as a hustling business entrepreneur
having delved into business early in life. The graduate of Mechanical
Engineering once traded in LaCasera; ran a cab business by investing his school
fees of $5,999 into the business; explore solid minerals mining; delved into a
Sharwarma business and also phone retailing business.
When he was in 2nd year at the KNUST he created Swagger Entertainment
which pioneered the party culture in Kumasi, Ghana and gave him an inroad into
the Ghanaian and Nigerian entertainment scenes.
He’s having an E.P “About To Blow” which he recorded within
one week and which had Bankulize to his credit.
In a recent interview with Guardian Life, Mr. Eazi stated:
“For me and my team, we are heavy with on-the-road projects because I am a
Kubalor. I like traveling and music has given me a reason to travel. We are on
the Life Is Eazi series, my album is going to be called Life is Eazi Vol. 1 and
then the tour is like a pre-album tour in London, Ghana and Europe. In November
we have Dirty November in the U.K, we have some shows with Lauryn Hill.
Basically, it is build up to the Life Is Eazi album and next year we would be
doing Life Is Eazi Africa; touring in 14 countries before the album drops. When
the album drops, we will start another tour Life Is Eazi Album Tour which will
take us to every continent by God’s grace, until we are famous in China”.
His hustling ability and buzz caught the attention of Nigerian
pop star, Wizkid who signed him unto his Star Boy imprint.
“It is safe to say that Mr. Eazi is Africa’s Big Thing right
now, and this is not about the hype. It’s really more about the personality
behind the mic. He is not your average Nigerian musician basking in the
euphoria of the spotlight, but a focus-driven and seasoned entrepreneur who sees
everything as an opportunity. When you think about it, it is a blessing to the
industry”. – Guardian Life
