A 21-year
old student of the University of Ghana, Miss Leah Brown, was yesterday
-Saturday, 22nd October, 2016 -crowned Miss Malaika 2016 at the National
Theatre.
The
Political Science and French Combined major student was adjudged the best out
of ten finalists. Her prize package includes: a Renault Captur, one year
wardrobe supply, one year hair supply from Hair Senta, a trip to Dubai, a
scholarship worth $ 10,000 from Abbeam Institute of Technology among others.
Her project will be helping fight the prevalence of malaria in the country.
Edem and Delsey emerged 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively.

The Miss
Malaika beauty pageant which is in its 14th year was sponsored by UB Hair
Relaxer, KIA by Rana Motors, Sivoderm, Ethiopian Airlines, Abbeam Institute of
Technology and supported by Royco and Crown Paints with Gh One TV as media
partners.
