Following a three
month social media campaign with child comedy superstar Emanuella, Mark Angel,
Denilson Igwe from Mark Angel Comedy International that garnered 10 million
views, Nigeria’s favourite FreshYo yoghurt is now back on the shelves after a
year-long hiatus.
At today’s re-launch
of FreshYo yoghurt at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Emanuella and the Mark Angel Comedy
team joined distribution partners and select consumers from across the country.
Emanuella was excited to have FreshYo back and confirmed that it tastes as good
as ever. The drinking yoghurt will be available in two flavours – plain sweet
and strawberry.
FreshYo yoghurt’s
presence has been missed by children and adults alike after production ceased
temporarily while a new state-of-the-art facility was being constructed in
Lagos.
Mr. Sidhartha Samal, Category Head
(Beverages, Noodles & Culinary) at Olam International’s Joint Venture with
Sanyo Foods, said: “FreshYo’s thick and refreshingly creamier texture not only
tastes great, but also provides with wholesome energy because it has Calcium,
Protein, Vitamins. With its innovative packaging design and a new outstanding
formula, FreshYo remains a leading yoghurt brand that has won over children and
adults. We are glad that our #MyFreshYoMoments campaign and videos featuring Emanuella
and Mark Angel have touched the hearts of so many consumers.”
Speaking at the relaunch, Mr. Ramesh
Sinha, Vice President, explained the innovative Sales & Distribution strategy
for the product and how it would reach consumers in a unique way. Mrs. Bola
Adeniji, Marketing Manager, shared the 360 degree marketing plan for FreshYo to
drive awareness and consumer engagement of the brand.
Emanuella and
Mark Angel Comedy team graced the occasion with their entertaining and engaging
performance at the FreshYo re-launch. In the evening, renowned
Chef and Food Stylist Mrs. Iyabo Lawani created five exciting recipes specially
for the event and guests were served FreshYo smoothies.
Frumil, a fruit milk drink in the company’s Dairy Beverages portfolio, was also launched during the event. It will be available in two flavours – apple and orange.
Both
FreshYo and Frumil will be manufactured in the company’s new facility at Lagos
which is the first factory in Africa to use Aseptic technology for the
production of Dairy Beverages.
