The Nigerian Law School early on Saturday released the much awaited 2017 Bar Finals results. The release of the results had been delayed for at least a week due to unknown reasons.
A summary of the results provided by the Law School indicated that 4,284 candidates out of 5,891 candidates who sat for the August/September examinations passed while 334 recorded a conditional pass. Some 1,272 students however failed to pass the Bar exams.
In percentage terms, the results may generally be deemed impressive as there was a 72 percent pass rate with 5.7 percent of the candidates recording a conditional pass while 21.6 percent failed.

A closer look at the grades revealed that there was an increase in the number of First Class results to a record 29 with 14 of them coming from the Lagos Campus. The Enugu Campus which failed to produce any First Class graduates in 2016 produced 6 First Class graduates while Abuja Campus produced 4 First Class graduates.
