The Nigerian entertainment scene is growing daily and
Nigerian songs are now gaining international spotlights. DJs are critical to
this growing phenomenon and one of the DJs who are making it to happen is fast
rising DJ, Fabayo Abiodun Kabir popularly known as DJ K Berry, a wizard behind
the turntable.
He recently took his trade to far away Dubai, United Arab
Emirates where he performed on a Yatch alongside Nigerian Fuji maestro, Abbas
Akande Obesere.
ACADA Magazine recently
caught up with the fast rising DJ at the Yatch Party and he shared with us his
exploits in Dubai, his plans for the future among other topical issues.
How was
the experience like playing in Dubai?
It was a delight and an unforgettable one for me. You know
it is the joy of every DJ when you played and your audience feels you and the
vibe. And playing alongside one of Nigeria’s musical icons, Abbas Obesere is a
dream come true.
What
makes choose the career?
I love music and the entertainment industry. And it’s all
about my passion for good music and making people happy.
What
are the challenges you face starting out?
Starting out is tough but since it is what I really want to
do, I have to face all the challenges and obstacle squarely. One must be dogged
in whatever one chooses to do and you only need to keep your eyes on the goal
and stay focus. Perseverance is key in everything. Some of the challenges are
acceptability by the people and also funds to get latest equipments and
gadgets. But thanks to God things are now looking up.
What
should your fans expect from you soon?
I’m currently working on my UK Tour which is being packaged
Climax Travels. It’s going to be a highly electrifying tour that will dazzle my
fans in the UK, so they should be on the watch out.
