…Joy, Excitement as Everyday
Bonanza winners get prizes in Lagos, Abuja
There could not have been a better way to usher in the
Christmas celebrations for hundreds of Glo subscribers in Lagos and Abuja.
Highly expectant subscribers had converged on the two cities recently for the
prize presentation ceremonies held for winners in Everyday Bonanza,
a unique customer reward scheme rolled out recently by fully integrated
telecoms operator, Globacom. In Lagos, the date was November 13 and venue was
21 Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island, while in Abuja the event was held on
November 15 at the Gloworld shop on Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse.
Many of
the winners came with friends and family members to share the joy and
testimonies of the day. While the winners were full of excitement, they kept
their joy in check as their fortune was too good to believe. So, for many of
them it was a case of wait and see for like they say in local parlance, ‘seeing
is believing’. A winner of a star prize in the promo, Hyundai Accent, was
later to tell the audience that: “When I was told I won a car in the promo, I did
not tell my wife about it the prize because he thought the call was a
scam”. That explained the subdued excitement among the winners.
