Most Expensive Private Christian Universities in Nigeria.


Private universities are all over the country to supplement the effort of our national education system. But the snag is that they are very expensive.
We bring you a roll call of these institutions-and how much their students pay-in no special order.


BABCOCK UNIVERSITY
Babcock University is owned and operated by the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Nigeria. The university is in Ilisan Remo, Ogun State. It was accredited in 1999 and has about 6,000 students presently.
Babcock University offers Law, Mass Communication, Political Science, Microbiology, Medicine, Business administration and so many other courses.
The fees are paid according to the course of story and hostel. It’s between N450,000 and N2million.

BOWEN UNIVERSITY
Bowen University is owned and operated by the Nigerian Baptist Convention. It is at Iwo, Osun State. The university opened on November 4, 2002. It has a current enrolment of about 6,000 students. Bowen University is named in honour of Rev. Thomas Jefferson Bowen, the first American Baptist missionary from the Southern Baptist Convention, who arrived in Nigeria in 1850.
Bowen University has the faculties in which over 22 accredited courses are offered including Industrial Chemistry, Plant Biology, Maths and Statistics, Computer Science and Information Technology in Faculty of Science and Science Education Biochemistry Plant Science, Animal Science, Agricultural Extension, in Faculty of Agriculture. Human Communications, Banking and Finance, Economics, Business Administration and Sociology in Faculty of Social and Management Science.
Bowen University students pay between N450,000 and N700,000, depending on the level and department.

COVENANT UNVIERSITY
Covenant University is in Ota, Ogun State, it is a member of Association of Commonwealth Universities. It was established on October 21, 2002, by the Winners Chapel Assembly led by Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo.
The university offers course like Banking and Finance, Science and Technology, Architecture, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Human Resource Development, Sociology, etc. The fee is between N450,000 and N650,000.

AJAYI CROWTHER UNIVERSITY
Ajayi Crowther University is in Oyo State. It was establi9shed by the Diocesan Supra Board (West) of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion). It has its origins in the defunct Christian Missionary Society (CMS), training institution, Abeokuta. Ajayi Crowther was granted license to operate as a private university in January 2005. The university was named after the late Samuel Ajayi Crowther, the first African bishop who first translated the Bible into Yoruba.
It offers courses like Biological Sciences, Chemical Science, English, History and International Relations, Religious Studies, accounting Communication and Media Studies, Business Administration and Economics.
They pay N450,000-N600,000

REDEEMERS UNIVERSITY
Redeemers University is in Redemption City, Ogun State. It was established in 2005. It is owned by the Redeemed Christian Church of God. It has over 4,000 students, at present in a temporary site within the camp ground near Mowe, Ogun State. The university has three colleges, College of Natural science, College of Management Science, College of Humanities. They offer courses like Mass Communication, Theatre Arts, Psychology, Sociology, Performing Arts, History and International Relations, Insurance, Physics, Political Science and more.
Redeemers University students pay their fees according to the faculty. Natural Science pays N440,000-N600,000. Management Science students pay N400,000-N575,000 and Humanities students pay N400,000-N525,000.

CRAWFORD UNIVERSITY
Crawford University was established in 2005. It is in Igbesa, Ogun State. The university is owned by Apostolic Faith Mission. It was established in 2005 by Paul Akazue, the third overseer of the Apostolic Faith across Africa.
Rev. Paul Akazue was the first Chancellor before his death in May 2010.
Crawford University offers Accounting, Actuarial Science, Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, agricultural Economics, Animal Production, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Biochemistry, crop Production, Economics, amongst others.
The students pay between N450,000 and N480,000 depending on the course and level.

BENSON IDAHOSA UNIVERSITY
Benson Idahosa University is in Benin City, Edo State. It was established in 2002. It is named after Archbishop Benson Idahosa, a Pentecostal minister from Benin City. The university was ranked second among private universities by the National Universities Commission (NUC), in their national ranking. They offer accounting, agriculture, Biochemistry, Business Administration, Computer Engineering, economics, English, French, Law, Sociology and so many others. They pay N450,000 per session.

JOSEPH AYO BABALOLA UNIVERSITY
Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU), is in Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State. It was established by the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC). The university is named after the first spiritual leader of CAC Worldwide, Joseph Ayo Babalola. It is situated where he said he was called by god in 1928. It was approved on February 8, 2006 by the Federal Executive Council, and received its license on March 6, 2006 and opened to students on October 25, 2006.
JABU offers Arts and Humanities, Business and Social Sciences, Language and Cultural Studies, Medicine and Health, engineering, Science and Technology.
They pay N150,00 and above.
