Telecommunications operator,
Glo Mobile, is sponsoring a Reality TV Show that is poised to change the face
of entertainment on the continent.
Tagged “Dance With Peter,”
the reality show is a 13-week dancing competition in partnership with the
sensational African dance prodigy, Peter Okoye, the twin brother and partner in
the sensational and multiple award winning musical group, P-Square.
Top dancers stand a chance
of winning huge cash prizes and cars. The eventual top prize winner smiles home
with the sum of GHc 45,000, a brand new Toyota RAV4 and an opportunity to
feature in P-Square’s next music video.
The first runner-up goes
home with GHc 30,000 and a brand new Honda Civc car while the second runner-up
will have the sum of GHc 15,000 and a brand new Kia Rio car. The audition holds
at the National Theatre, Accra. There are other numerous consolation prizes for
others, including subscribers who will participate in trivia contests.
Dance With Peter Reality TV
show, which is taking participants from Ghana and Nigeria, will bring a whole
new dimension and passion to dancing with exciting display of talents in dance
and choreography. The audition event in Accra will have Peter Okoye himself as
a judge and mentor alongside dance queen Kaffy and Nigerian hip hop dance
choreographer, Flex.
Glo Mobile, in a statement

The competition will be open
to individuals from different dance backgrounds, be it solo, duet or group.
From the Accra auditions,
six dancers or groups will be selected to join other qualifiers from Nigeria in
a competition phase in Lagos for weeks of serious grilling and weekly
evictions.
Globacom said registration
for the competition has started and is open to Glo subscribers only in Ghana.
“Registration costs 50 pesewas. Subscribers are required to send ‘DANCE’ to the
shortcode 3030. All successful registrations will get a confirmatory SMS with
instructions on what to do next.
