Unveiling Wale Adeyemi - The King of UK Street Wear

Wale Adeyemi is a British Nigeria fashion designer who has been working as a designer under his own name for the past 8 years, but it wasn't that long ago when all this was just an unattainable dream. After graduating from the Thurrock Technical College, Wale furthered his studies at the Kent Institute of Art and Design, where he left with a view to window dressing. He did his internship with British Designer Joe Casely Hayford.

He has worked as head designer at B-side, former creative director at New Era, an entrepreneur, industry spokesperson, music promoter, ambassador for The Prince's Trust and stylist to numerous celebrities.

His B side designs have been worn by Beyoncé, Rihanna, Ellie Goulding, Alicia Keys, The Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Missy Elliott, Jourdan Dunn, Estelle, Victoria Beckham, David Beckham, Mos Def, Tinie Tempah, Ms. Dynamite and Joey Badass to name but a few that are keen fans and clients of his be-spoke collection 'Walé Adeyemi'. He has recently introduced this collection to the public as he looks to evolve his range of more tailored and luxurious garments to a wider audience.

Yet in spite of the high profile that his work has attained him Wale has always maintained a relaxed attitude towards his achievements. Recognition of his talent came when he was presented the Fashion and Design Award at the Multi-Cultural Awards in 2001. He also received an accolade at the Urban Music Seminar a year earlier, and has recently become an ambassador for the Princes' Trust. As a role model for kids he relishes the challenge of being able to put something back to the community and regularly partakes in interviews, leading discussions and workshops, such as the government funded Aim Higher programme and Karrot, and organisation run by the Metropolitan Police.

Wale who is now focused on the rapid rise and expansion of the B-side collection which now also includes a cuter than cute Children's-wear and Baby collection, at this stage seems clear that he has much more to offer and even more to achieve, leaving vast room for expansion, development and creativity which has already made him such a focus for people seeking fresh design and innovative style.
