In a bid to encourage
subscribers to embrace electronic mode of recharging their lines, leading
telecommunications company, Globacom, is offering fifteen percent bonus airtime
on recharges of N100 and above done through the e-Top Up channels.
The company said in press
statement in Lagos that the 15% bonus offer started on August 1 and is given to
subscribers unconditionally when they recharge via any of the electronic
channels such as Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), Bank USSD recharge codes,
mobile banking apps, Glo’s *805# USSD recharge code, Glo Café, Online/web
merchants, Point-Of-Sale terminals and direct purchase from Glo retail outlets.
The offer is available on all tariff plans and the subscriber will,
apart from getting the bonus, still have all the benefit of his/her
normal plan such as Free Tomorrow,
G-Bam, Infinito, and Glo Bumpa, Globacom stated.
Explaining how the offer works,
Globacom said, “the subscriber will
receive 15% bonus on the value of the airtime purchased. For example, if
you recharge N200, you will receive N200 plus N30 bonus, totalling N230 airtime
value. N200 is credited to your main account, while N30 is credited to your 15%
bonus account”.
On the validity of the bonus
credit, the company explained that it would be determined by the value of the
recharge made and could range from seven to thirty days. “Bonuses on e-Top Up amounts below
N1,000 have seven days validity, whilebonuses on e-Top Up amounts between
N1,000 and N1,999 have 15 days validity. Similarly, bonuses on e-Top Up
amounts from N2,000 and above are valid for 30 days”, Globacom stated.
It added that the 15% e-Top Up
bonus could be used to call and send SMS to any Glo customer in Nigeria, and
that the subscriber could check the bonus balance by dialing #122#.
The telecoms giant said that
the Glo e-Top Up service saves subscribers the stress associated with buying
physical recharge cards as they could get their accounts recharged with any
amount from anywhere: “Glo e-Top Up is the most convenient, stress-free and
hassle-free recharging method for Glo subscribers anytime and from anywhere.
There is no need to scratch a card. It is environmentally friendly and is
also consistent with the drive towards a cashless economy”.
Globacom urged its subscribers to use
Glo e-Top Up whenever they want to recharge their lines, as the service offers
the best value for money among similar products in the market. #
