DJ NEPTUNE To Deliver “Greatness” Album And Go On University Tour

If there’s one industry today that is credited with most bandwagons, it’s
the Djing industry. Despite the huge influx of potential into this sector,
when the chips are down, it’s easy to separate the boys from the men. Those
few (like DJ Neptune) credited with having the sixth sense on how best to
mix music in such a way that they tell stories and curate conversations on
trends and classics, those few are the real MVPs in the Djing arena because
they ooze greatness.

Like in most careers in life, talent alone won’t push you to that legendary
status.  In the Djing industry, being credited as a mix master is just a
fraction of what will make you really successful. Creating a unique brand
that various client’s brand want to associate with is key. Understanding
the crowd you play for, influencing the narrative in the music industry,
connecting with a legion of music enthusiasts with your unique djing styles
and having a team that is building your brand like an institution rather
than a mere individual, these are some of the attributes today’s disc
jockeys need to imbibe to succeed. DJ Neptune ticks all these boxes. It
will be hard to find a DJ Brand with massive clientele like Neptune in
today’s industry.

How did this deejay over the years manage to navigate an industry brimming
with competing brands and thrive on without a scratch? For a couple of
years, I have struggled to find an answer to this question until recently
when I finally gave up. I came to the conclusion that his work ethics and
personal relations skill are top-notch. There are several things about DJ
Neptune that puts him head and shoulders above his contemporaries in the
Djing industry. He seems to be running his own race and calling the shots
at all times. Imohiosen Patrick a.k.a DJ Neptune is a rare breed. For
sixteen years now in the industry, he has continued to redefine his career
to constantly meet the demands of the audience and target clients.
Consistency in the Nigerian entertainment industry is not a fluke. It’s a
result of handwork, perseverance and creativeness. In an industry filled
with bandwagons, to remain actively competitive for over a decade and half,
your trade secret must be something that can’t be duplicated.

Neptune does not only work hard but has delivered wisely. At end of 2017,
among other brands, Neptune has done multiple gigs for all the premium
beverage, liquor, and vodka and champagne brands in this country. As of
January 2018, he has scored several hit singles featuring crème-de-la-crème
performing artistes in the Nigerian music scene. His single ‘Baddest’
featuring Olamide, Stonebwoy & BOJ, is a classic. ‘Marry’ featuring Mr.
Eazi,
was a chart topper. ‘Bumber’ featuring Ycee & Falz, ‘Why’ featuring
Runtown, are some of his materials that remain fan favorites. His most
recent single featuring Mr. Eazi & C4 titled ‘Mia Mia’ is gathering massive
traction. Neptune is on a nationwide media tour talking about his latest single and the forthcoming album titled ‘Greatness’ scheduled for release in the first
quarter of 2018. The track list and pre order link will be made available
by end of January. Expect Greatness from this body of work.

‘The album has different vibes with unexpected collaborations from
different artistes across Africa. Immediately after the album release, there will be ‘Greatness Album Launch Party’ and also a nationwide university tour tagged ‘DJ Neptune Greatness Nationwide University Tour’ (DJNGNUT), with friends and featured artistes on the album. Because I’m leaving no stone unturned from the get go in 2018, on 17th of January, I will release the video to ‘Mia Mia’ featuring Angolan born super star C4 Pedro and Nigerian sensational artist Mr. Eazi.  This video directed by AlexxAdjei was shot in the UK and U.S.A’.
