PHOTOS: Joeboy, Wurld, Others Perform As MTV Base Celebrates Base Day In Abuja


As part of celebrations around the continent to mark the 15th year of its debut in Africa, premium entertainment channel, MTV Base in collaboration with Capital Block Party hosted thousands of fans to a star-studded concert at the BMT Gardens in Abuja.
The concert had performances by some of Nigeria’s hottest acts of the moment including Joeboy, Wurld, Sarz and Prettyboy D-O. Also on the lineup were Kida Kudz, Alpha P, Buju and a host of other talents who thrilled the audience non-stop. The artistes were backed by celebrity DJ TTB who made sure everyone in the audience danced all night long as he played one hit tune after another.


MTV Base had kicked off activities for its month-long celebration in the capital city the previous day with a panel session which saw some of the brightest minds in the Nigerian entertainment space including the Senior Channels Manager at Viacom CBS Networks Africa, Solafunmi Oyeneye, MTV Base superstar VJ, Ehiz; Celebrity DJ TTB, Abuja-based PR and Events Consultant, Eddie Madaki; Founder of The Plug, Bizzle Osikoya and popular compeer, Big Mo discuss the huge impact the MTV Base brand has had on Entertainment in Africa since it went live in 2005.

Glo-Sponsored African Voices Celebrates Female Bikers


Two female mountain bikers are being featured in the latest edition of the weekly CNN African Voices, aired by the Cable News Network and sponsored by Nigeria’s foremost telecommunications company, Globacom.

South African, Kirsten Landman, and Kenyan tour guide, Grace Mwari, will share their life stories with viewers of the popular programme this weekend.

The first person to be showcased is Landman, who started her romance with bike-riding at age 8, inspired by her cousin and uncle. She continued to nurture the interest till she launched a professional career in bike riding at the age of 22. She has since made a name for herself globally through her exploits in the field of hard enduro racing. 

She became the first female to finish races such as Redbull Romaniacs, Redbull Sea to Sky, Redbull Megawatt 111, Redbull Braveman and the Roof of Africa, among numerous international races.

The second person featured is, Mwari, an off-road motorcycle tour guide at Offroad Adventure East Africa.

Rhatti, The Rising Phoenix From The East


Armstrong Arinze, better known as Rhatti is a Nigerian born Singer, Rapper and Song writer who hails from Enugu-Ukwu in Anambra State, Nigeria. He rose to limelight after his songs and short videos went viral on the internet; and ever since then, he hasn't looked back.

On his debut single, Biko produced by Dera, multi-talented Rhatti exhibits his mastery of the art, lyrical depth, amazing punch lines, a mix of afro rhythm, rap, trap and many others vibes he's been blessed with. The lyrics were a fusion of phonetics and sweet Igbo. His sensational rap quickly gets the girls in a whole mood.

Rhatti delivered a potential baby making song and shows he’s a pro when it comes to the affairs of the other room in this buzzing jam which is rocking the airwaves and fast becoming the favourites of many on their playlists.
