MTV Base has replied Burna Boy after he expressed his displeasure at being snubbed for nominations at the MAMAs announcement.
The media giant had last night, unveiled nominees for their awards which will hold July 8 2013. Burna Boy missed out on an individual nomination, although his name popped up in the ‘Best collaboration’ category for his work in AKA’s ‘All eyes on me’.
Burna boy had earlier tweeted: "Really bummed @MTVbaseAfrica didn't nominate me. I knew I wasn't gunna win SHXT cuz I never get wat I deserve but damn this is quite deep.
MTV has replied the singer, albeit with a huge amount of sarcasm. “Let’s try again next year. Truce?,” a tweet read, with the photo of a forlorn cub thrown in for good measure.
Another simply expressed a sigh, literally, and an accompanying photo of a submerged boy making the peace sign.
