Highlife music star, Flavour, makes cameo appearance in Glo-Sponsored Professor Johnbull

The fifth episode of Professor Johnbull is taking a radical departure from preceding episodes as it is featuring one of Nigeria’s most sought-after music stars, Chinedu Okoli, otherwise called ‘Flavour’, showing off his acting skills.

Flavour’s cameo appearance in this episode aptly entitled A Good Flavour, is going to show a side of him that many of his fans never knew existed. He will be turning up in the Enugu residence of the major character in the series, Professor Johnbull (Kanayo O. Kanayo).

It will be interesting to see how the meeting will go, considering the contempt the highly cerebral senior citizen has for the decision of his son, Churchill, an engineering-graduate, to become a musician.

In the intellectual world of Professor Johnbull, music is not a choice befitting of a son of a university don of several decades. Will he show this disposition to this highly successful music darling of many Nigerians?

It will also be interesting to see how Caro (Mercy Johnson Okojie), the illiterate house maid of the retired professor and Elizabeth (Queen Nwokoye), the undergraduate daughter of Professor Johnbull, will react to seeing Flavour in their home. What impact will Flavour’s visit have on Churchill, who already carries on like an international mega star even though he has not produced any commercially available music?

The episode also throws up a number of other issues, such as children upbringing, household chores and parental guidance.

Episode 5 of the series will be shown on NTA network, NTA International (Channel 251 on DSTV) and Startimes, on Tuesday at 8.30pm. Repeat broadcast airs on Friday at the same time on the same stations.
