Students Stage Sit-In On Vandy Campus Because of Donald Trump

Students of Vanderbilt University led their second on-campus protest in support of those they say have been verbally attacked by President-elect Trump.
Students, alumni and faculty walked around campus five days ago talking about their frustrations with this presidential election.

On Tuesday, they started at the library, walked around campus and sat in Kirkland Hall behind me, where they stayed for a few hours.
The group focused on people who they said have been attacked by Trump including undocumented immigrants.
As Trump makes his transition team they are asking the university to immediately cut ties with all law enforcement agencies that collaborate with customs and border control as well as refuse to cooperate with any registration system that seeks to target Muslims.

Protesters asked the chancellor to make Vanderbilt a sanctuary campus for undocumented students. They don't want them to be questioned once Trump takes office.
