Glo Campus Storm ends 2016 with pomp at IMSU

The last edition of Glo Campus Storm, a flagship music concert owned by Nigeria's biggest supporter of entertainment, Globacom, in 2016 held last Friday  at the Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri,  with a memorable show that got the university community asking for more.
The show was well received by the students and staff of the university who saw it as a befitting gift to them from the telecommunications giant. They savoured every performance by star artistes including  the duo  of 'Katapot' creator, Reekado Banks, and his colleague from the Marvin Records Dynasty, Korede Bello, who is popular for his hit tracks including God win and Mungo Park.
Sporting his trademark neatly packed dreadlocks Reekado Banks,  was the first big artiste to uncover the show. His performance was so enthralling that the students literally begged him to spend a little more time on the microphone. The students sang in tow with him as he is performed some of his best tracks including  'Looku Looku',  'Chop am', 'Sugar Baby'; 'Problem'; and 'Katapot' before rounding off with his blockbuster  'Oluwa ni 'track.

Korede Bello  left no one in doubt that he is a master of his game as he sashay  into the presence of the capacity crowd who hailed him to no end. His 'Mungo Park' track sent the crowd into wild ecstasy. But he did not fail to sustain the tempo as he quickly followed with  'One and Only', 'Adaobi' 'Do it like that',  and 'Relative'. The clincher was 'Godwin' which he did in a stylish manner as he doled out wads of notes to them randomly.
Added to these two stars, up and coming artistes from  the student populace  such as Dimky, Roger-Lino, Lee Ray, Ok David and Young Prince  demonstrated their popularity among the students. One of them Lambasixx stole the show  with his amazing lyrics which got his colleagues excited.
Resourceful DJ XGee,  stroked the jukebox producing hot vibes in the process  while Enugu-based comedian,  2CanTalk, anchored the show punctuating the performances with campus-related jokes which got the students reeling in laughter.
The  “Glo Campus Data Dude” and “Glo Campus Data Diva” beauty contests produced  Nnamdi Tochukwu  and Amamihe Jennifer who respectively emerged winners in the male and female categories. They each went home with N100,000 cash prize, while Okpala Ugochukwu, Raphael Chindah, Egbule Obinna and Chiamonwu Victor won N50,000 each in the male category.

The trio of  Nzediegwu Adaugu, Emetubelem Grace, Okochie Theresa and Mojekwu Chineye also took home N50,000 each in the female category
