The 2017 edition of the All Africa
Music Awards (AFRIMA) held on Sunday at the EKO Hotel & Suites, Lagos was a
very glamorous affair, with top artistes trooping into Lagos, Nigeria from all corners
of the continent. This year’s award was hosted by Akon.
Tiwa Savage,
Wizkid, YCee, Wande Coal, 2baba, Adasa Cookey and Orezi were the Nigerian
winners on the night.
Wizkid won three
of the most prestigious categories; Artiste of the Year and Song of the Year as
well as the Best West African Artiste award.
