Subscribers
of telecommunications solutions provider, Globacom, will now enjoy bigger
bundles for every data plan they buy subsequently while enjoying free video
streaming on iflix and YouTube.
This is
as the network that tags itself as the Data Grandmaster, once again re-affirmed
its position as the leader in the data segment of the market with the unveiling
of Data Revolution and an exclusive partnership
with iflix, the world’s biggest online entertainment service for Asia, the
Middle East and Africa.
The
network also unveiled free YouTube streaming for its loyal subscribers who buy
data plans of N500 and above.
While
launching the Data Revolution on Monday at the Mike Adenuga Towers in
Lagos, Globacom’s Regional Director, Planning and Technical, Mr. Sanjib Roy
said the new offer gives an unfair advantage to subscribers as it delivers
unmatched data packages both to new customers and to existing customers
who renew their subscriptions before expiration on
both 3G and 4G.
Roy
explained that new subscribers and those who renew will get 90MB bundle for a
N100 subscription and 250MB with which they can send 400 emails comes with
N200. Also N500 recharge gives customers a total of 2GB, which guarantees them
10 days of unlimited chatting.
Also
subscribers will be rewarded with 12.5GB, which could be used for 250 hours of
content broadcast for a N2, 500 data bundle, while N4, 000 and N5, 000 bundles
attracts 24GB and 30GB respectively, with the 30GB capable of providing videos
for over 600 hours, for subscribers’ enjoyment.
According
to him, 4GB data, which translates to about 4,000 pages of web browsing
will be given to new and existing subscribers who renew their subscriptions
before expiration up to 4GB of data which goes for just N1, 000.
The
Globacom Director described the new bundle offers as the biggest and
the best so far in Nigeria’s telecom data market, adding that “never has
the subscriber to any network in Nigeria had it so big and so good. All you
need to do is get on the Glo data network and stay on by continuing to renew
your subscription to enjoy the benefits that give you the unfair
advantage over other data users.”
Roy also
said that Globacom’s desire to give millions of subscribers 60 days of
unlimited access to the world’s best television programmes, series, movies,
cartoons and more on their devices underscores the consummation of Glo-iflix
partnership.
Explaining
further, Roy said that Glo customers will get access at a specially discounted
price of N100 per month only after 60 days, adding that they should send “Buzz”
to 105 access the iflix service on Glo Café.
Glo
subscribers will henceforth enjoy a large selection of iconic,
critically-acclaimed TV series and fan-favourite films both internationally and
locally available in the region under the Iflix package including The
Big Bang Theory, Suits, The flash, Arrow, Hercules, Mission
Impossible, as well as highly anticipated Bollywood hits ABCD, Chennai
Express, Phantom, and PK.
It also
offers local contents like Nollywood titles as Head Gone, Jenifa’s
Diary, The visit, Bukas and Joints amongst
others.
To use
the free YouTube, Glo subscribers who recharge up to N500 and above gets free
YouTube streaming from 1am to 5.30am and all a subscriber is expected
to do to buy a data plan to activate the services is to dial *777#. YouTube
is a popular video-sharing site that allows users to upload, view, rate,
share, add to favorites, report, comment on videos.
