Category Definitions:

NMA AWARD 2013. THEME: ‘IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO’. NMA AWARD 2013 CATEGORY
AND CRITERIA: To Nominate, send your preferred Brand, Model/Role-Model &
Organizational resume/Job profile to nominate@nmaang.com.

1. NMAA TEENS/CHILDS  MODEL OF THE YEAR (MALE/FEMALE): Modeling designed
for products targeting  featuring children and teenagers. (ages: 5-17).
2. NMAA OUTDOOR ADVERT OF THE YEAR(brand): The outdoor advert with unusual
creativity in projecting the brand with use of models to attract consumer
loyalty.
3.  NMAA TV COMMERCIAL OF THE YEAR(brand):  A video advertisement for a
product, service,  or idea that is innovative in projecting the brand with
the use of models to attract consumer loyalty. The advertisement may be
designed for web or broadcast and can be amateur or professional.
4. NMAA ADVERTISING AGENCY OF THE YEAR: An advertising agency that makes
good use of models in projecting brands, innovative marketing
communication services with a good number of adverts on multimedia
formats.
5 . NMAA PRODUCTION HOUSE OF THE YEAR: A TV production company that makes
best use of models in projecting brands with outstanding TV commercial in
terms of creativity.
6  . NMAA PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR: An outstanding photographer with a
good portfolio of creative works, has been consistent over the year and
always ready to work with models. And   has a selection of  photography
works that’s been used in any facet of modeling or featuring models.
7 .NMAA MAKE-UP ARTIST OF THE YEAR:   A make-up artist’s work as seen in
editorial features, print or television advertising campaigns, music
videos, concert performances, and any public appearances made by models or
actors.
 8. NMAA PRINTING HOUSE OF THE YEAR: An outstanding printing company with
exceptional quality prints especially in outdoor adverts and general
print.
9.NMAA MODEL ARTISTE OF THE YEAR: An artiste(musician/comedian) who has
represented brands, as a model for the past 12 months, in areas involving;
billboards, calendars, television commercials and other jobs involving
photography.
10. NMAA TALENT MANAGER  OF THE YEAR: A management company  with an
office, training facilities for his talents/models. Must have kept most of
its models/talents busy with good jobs  recently  and has credible records
,also  has a working website or work sampling showcasing the roster of
talent or recent work procured on behalf of a talent.
11. NMAA PROMOTIONAL  MODEL OF THE YEAR (FEMALE/MALE)
Modeling designed to drive consumer demand for a service, product or
brand. It can range from representing a company at a tradeshow to handing
out samples in a shopping mall, appearing on behalf of an alcohol brand at
a bar or in an event as professional  usher .
12.NMAA MATURE MODEL OF THE YEAR (FEMALE): Modeling designed for products
targeting mature adults and featuring mature adults. A mature  model that
is age 36 years and above , with an excellent portfolio .
13. NMAA MATURE  MODEL OF THE YEAR (MALE): Modeling designed for products
targeting mature adults and featuring mature adults. A mature  model that
is age 36 years and above , with an excellent portfolio .
14. NMAA MODEL PRESENTER OF THE YEAR: A successful model that has an
iconic fashion statement in modeling and excels as a presenter( Spokes
model / Host).
15. NMAA RUNWAY MODEL OF THE YEAR (FEMALE): Typically occurs during a
fashion show when a model walks a runway or elevated catwalk, to showcase
clothing and accessories to potential buyers. And in print modeling
typically used for high fashion magazines. High fashion and editorial
modeling is generally showcases a current style or trend . Short video
submissions and print are ideal for this category.
16. NMAA RUNWAY MODEL OF THE YEAR (MALE):  Typically occurs during a
fashion show when a model walks a runway or elevated catwalk, to showcase
clothing and accessories to potential buyers. And in print modeling
typically used for high fashion magazines. High fashion and editorial
modeling is generally showcases a current style or trend . Short video
submissions and print are ideal for this category.
17. NMAA GLAMOUR MODEL OF THE YEAR (FEMALE, ages: 18-35): Modeling with a
smiling look. Glamour modeling can include lingerie and swimwear. It can
range from cheesecake pinup photos to calendar, news papers, billboards,
posters, internet web, and Maxim style images. Glamour models normally
have curvy figures and beautiful faces.
18. NMAA GLAMOUR  MODEL OF THE YEAR (MALE, ages: 18-35): Modeling with a
smiling look. Glamour modeling can include lingerie, corporate wear and
swimwear. It can range from cheesecake pinup photos to calendar, news
papers, billboards, posters, internet for websites, banner ads, and Maxim
style images. Glamour models normally have  good physique and handsome
faces.
19. NMAA HAIR STYLIST OF THE YEAR:  Work showcasing a stylist’s selection
of editorial features, print or television advertising campaigns, music
videos, concert performances, and any public appearances made by models or
actors.
20. NMAA HONOURARY AWARD: This is presented to distinguished personalities
that have been able to make a very impressive mark in his/her area of
specialization, most especially modeling/fashion, creative world and
Entertainment Industry.
21. NMAA PROMISING ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR:
A young entrepreneur in the  modelling, fashion and entertainment industry
with outstanding profile .
22 .NMAA FASHION DESIGNER OF THE YEAR:
A creative fashion designer who has been able to do incredibly well in the
fashion industry, with effective use of models.
23. NMAA MODEL-ACTOR OF THE YEAR:
An actor(MALE/FEMALE) who combines both acting and modeling (as brand
ambassador) and has an outstanding portfolio.
24. NMAA MODEL OF THE YEAR (FEMALE): A model that  has the quality of
glamour and runway i.e.( Typically occurs during a fashion show when a
model walks a runway or elevated catwalk, to showcase clothing and
accessories to potential buyers and Modeling with a smiling look. Glamour
modeling can include lingerie, corporate wear, and swimwear for multimedia
purpose ). Model that have curvy figures, catwalk charisma and beautiful
faces.
25.  NMAA MODEL OF THE YEAR (MALE):  A model that  has the quality of
glamour and runway i.e.( Typically occurs during a fashion show when a
model walks a runway or elevated catwalk, to showcase clothing and
accessories to potential buyers and Modeling with a smiling look. Glamour
modeling can include lingerie, corporate wear, and swimwear for multimedia
purpose ). Model that have catwalk charisma, good physique and handsome
faces.
