Despite the heightened
buzz all across the nation, six sell out concerts in six cities have not been
graced by any of Nigeria’s beautiful music divas on any of the Star
Music Trek stages.
This weekend though, thankfully,
the tables turn, as the delectable Seyi Shay is set to thrill Asaba fans with
her powerful, sensual performance, while Nigeria’s queen of pop Tiwa Savage
takes over the Lagos leg of Star Music Trek with her male counterparts.
Both artistes who
belong to the prestigious club of leading music ladies have assured they’re
bringing their A game to Nigeria’s biggest national tour.
Sheyi Shay, a protégé
of Beyonce’s dad Mathew Knowles, will make Asaba rock this Saturday July 20,
debuting on The Trek with her hit songs including Irawo, Loving Your Way and No
Lele.
Meanwhile, Tiwa
Savage, a singers’ singer and performers’ performer who has just released her
debut album ‘Once Upon A Time’, will make her own debut in Agege on August 3.
Many fans are already
waiting and watching to see what drama the ladies will bring on.
Another debutant the
fans are eagerly awaiting is pop icon 2face Idibia who will make his first
grand appearance on ‘The Trek’ in Asaba this weekend. The multitalented act has
promised to perform some of his greatest hits for his fans with plenty
giveaways on the cards.
“I’m sorry fans had to
wait this long, but I’m glad to be returning to Asaba. It’s a wonderful city
and fans can be assured that the concert will be worth their every
minute.” 2face assures.
Idibia and Seyi Shay
are joined in Asaba by Timaya whose performance this weekend could make it a
hat-trick for him- three consecutive five star performances- and a sellout
crowd eager to sing his every song.
Some of Naeto C’s
greatest fans will converge in Asaba to catch a last glimpse of the talented
rapper who will be performing for the final time at the Star Music Trek circuit
this year.
Mr Raw and his live
band will also make their final appearance in Asaba with popular hits Obodo, Ko
Gba Dun, and many others set to delight eager fans.
Da Beatz, 2011 winners
of Star Quest will also be on hand to thrill music fans.
Music fans in
Abeokuta, Agege and Surulere will also enjoy the Star Music Trek tour this
year.
A grand finale
of the 10-week music tour will hold at the National Stadium, Surulere in Lagos
on August 10, 2013.
