The Aquafina Elite Model Look
Nigeria 2013 came to an exciting climax on Sunday evening in Lagos as 18-year
old Miss Neoma Anosike from Imo state was crowned winner. She wins a ticket to
represent Nigeria in the global Elite Model Look contest taking place in
Shenzhen China on November 27, 2013 with a chance to win $150,000 US dollars
and modeling contract with Elite Model Look, one of the leading modeling
agencies in the world.
Of the 1,853 auditioned for the
show, only 14 made it to the final runway at the iconic Eko Hotel & Suites,
Lagos venue of the event. Young, willowy, the girls exhibited a marked
confidence that belied their ages. In fact a 14 year old, Myever Akinleye was
among the contestants and even made it to the top five.
It was a night of glitz, glamour
and razzmatazz as fashion and entertainment provided a perfect recipe to give
the over 300 guests a night to remember. With different renowned local and
international designers such as Ella & Gabby, Agbani Darego, Poosh, William
Tempest showing their creativity, the girls had enough either in swim wear,
evening dress, casuals and corporate to strut their stuff and convince the
judges and the audience that they are fit for the Aquafina Elite Model Look
Nigeria diadem.

Bottling Company Plc maker of Aquafina table water the headline sponsor of this
year’s show Mr. Sawhney who was represented by Mr. Akram Shakeel a Senior Manager
with PepsiCo International urged the girls to be focused and use the platform
provided by the show to reach world acclaimed, advising them against being
carried away by the glamour of the industry. He said Seven-Up Bottling Company
will continue to support worthy causes that enable the Nigerian youth to reach
his full potential either in sport, entertainment or education.
An ecstatic Neoma said her win is a
dream come true. “I can’t believe it,” she cued, “I will make Nigeria proud in
China.”
