Ever since he stormed the Nigeria’s music scene with his
first single, “Back When” featuring rap star Naeto C, It instantly dawned on me
that this young man is destined for greatness, though many people didn’t give
him a chance because of his wealthy background which later culminated into the
“Omo Baba Olowo” alias he now bears. But Davido has proved all the people that
were skeptical about him becoming successful in the trade wrong.
Though I have my own fear and reservation about how far this
young man can go especially when he was signed by Nigeria’s telecom giant MTN
as an ambassador for her Pulse youth brand. I was like, “this guy is barely a
year in the industry and he is already having an ambassadorial deal”. Many
people at this time shared my sentiments and believe it’s the Nigerian
“arangee” ways of things. But it seems the telcom sees what we are not seeing
then. Today, Davido is about the most bankable Nigerian artistes. Playing
concerts and shows across Africa, Europe and the United States. He is now the
toast of most show promoters.
I gathered this from a reliable source that the young man is
currently having over 70 collabo requests
from far and near, having done more than enough already in the last 2 years.

others.
