Currently
trending is the good news that G-unit, 50 Cent record label has added to his
roster R&B star, Rotimi who also acted in the second season of the popular
TV series, “Power” alongside 50, a hit TV program produced by 50.
After
the announcement, Rotimi dropped an updated version of his 2014 track “Lotto,”
which now boasts 50 kicking off the opening verse. Upon its release, the track
jumped to No. 1 on the real-time Billboard +
Twitter Trending 140 chart. The feat continues a recent run for 50
Cent, who also topped the chart as a guest on Elle Varner’s
“Birthday” in early June.
Speaking to Complex, Rotimi
described “Lotto” as “about that feeling you get after seeing that certain
someone who captures your attention and makes you feel lucky; like you've hit
the jackpot.”The G-Unit collective currently comprised of 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Young Buck and Kidd Kidd.
From 2011 to 2012, he starred as Darius Morrison on the Starz Network original drama series Boss. Rotimi is also the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of FrontRoSeat Productions.
Rotimi was born in Maplewood, New Jersey, to Nigerian parents, and attended Columbia High School, where he was a standout on both the varsity basketball team and the honors choir. He continued his studies at Northwestern University and graduated with a Communications minor in Business.
