TAMAR BRAXTON, FLAVOUR, DIAMOND PLATNUMZ TO PERFORM AT “BET EXPERIENCE AFRICA”

Three-time GRAMMY Award nominated international R&B, soul and pop singer, actress and television personality, Tamar Braxton will join fellow R&B sensations Maxwell and Raphael Saadiq on the line-up for the BET Experience Africa. The three R&B superstars will perform during the gala concert alongside two of Africa’s top artistes, Diamond Platnumz at the BET Experience Africa, a spectacular global celebration of urban culture, music and lifestyle from entertainment channel BET .

The inaugural BET Experience Africa will take place at the Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg on Saturday 12 December 2015.  

  

From a backing singer to a leading recording artist, actress, talk show host and reality television personality, Tamar Braxton became a star.  She recently competed the twenty-first season of Dancing with the Stars and last month released the latest solo single “Catfish” along with the album Calling all Lovers. A further single, “Angels & Demons”, has just been released and this month The Braxtons, including Toni, Tamar, Traci, Trina and Townada, are releasing new material entitled Braxton Family Christmas.

Nigerian singer, actor and dancer Flavour N’abania or simply Flavour began his career as a drummer for a local church before going on to become one of Africa’s most sought after artists. After playing the drums professionally, Flavour moved on to play the keyboard and guitar.  This talented musician has received a host of Nigerian and African entertainment nominations and awards, including winning two African Music Magazine Awards, an MTV Africa Music Award (MAMA) in 2014 and - as part of The Headies - Hip Hop World Award.

Nasibu Abdul Jumma better known as Diamond Platnumz (or simply Diamond), has been putting Tanzania well and truly on the global music map for the last five years thanks to his energetic live performances and hit tracks such as "Number One", “Kipofu” and “Bum Bum”.  The multi-award winning artist won the 2015 MTV MAMA Award for Best Live Act, and has been the recipient of 16 Tanzanian Music Awards.  Diamond was nominated asBest International Act: Africa at the 2014 BET Awards, and most recently won Best African Act at the 2015 MTV EMAs.

Inspiring, immersive and hugely entertaining, BET Experience Africa will feature stunning live performances on a central Sound Stage, while stand-up routines from comedy stars will keep the audience laughing. Watch top celebrities battle each other for sporting supremacy at the fun-packed Celebrity Basketball Game.
