things keep popping up for the Nigerian pop star. The OBO king announced on his
Twitter handle yesterday his multi-million dollar distribution deal with SONY
BMG and he will be getting paid a whopping $1m in cash up front.
The announcement caused an uproar on Twitter, with his announcement that he is the first African to get the SONY/BMG deal: “1ST AFRICAN ARTIST TO SIGN A GLOBAL RECORD DEAL !! MY STORY IS JUST STARTING!! MY MOTHER IS SMILING IN HEAVEN RIGHT NOW!! @SonyMusicGlobal”.
