Davido Signs Multi-Million Dollar Global Deal with Sony Music | Gets $1 Million Cash

…As fans Condemned His Claims to be the First African with the Sony Music Deal
Big things keep popping up for the Nigerian pop star. The OBO king announced on his Twitter handle yesterday his multi-million dollar distribution deal with SONY BMG and he will be getting paid a whopping $1m in cash up front.
The announcement caused an uproar on Twitter, with his announcement that he is the first African to get the SONY/BMG deal: “1ST AFRICAN ARTIST TO SIGN A GLOBAL RECORD DEAL !! MY STORY IS JUST STARTING!! MY MOTHER IS SMILING IN HEAVEN RIGHT NOW!! @SonyMusicGlobal”.
Findings made us discovered that African artistes such as Natalie Makoma (Congo), Nathan Ro (South Africa), Naakaya Sumari (Tanzania) among others are signed to this same record company.

We wish the enterprising and hard working artiste all the best in his new venture.
