Diddy’s Bad Boy Records To Release 5-Discs 20th Anniversary Box Set


As Bad Boy Entertainment, the iconic record label founded by Sean “Diddy” Combs,  celebrates its 20th anniversary with a reunion tour, the label has announced the release of a brand new box set.
The five-disk, 80-track collection dates back to Bad Boy’s 1993 inception, which means it will include classic cuts from Notorious B.I.G., Faith Evans, and Mase, as well as hits from the label’s more recent signees like Janelle Monáe and French Montana. The tracklist also includes hits from Cassie, Total, 112, Carl Thomas, Mario Winans, Shyne, Black Rob, G. Dep, 8Ball & MJG,Danity Kane, Red Cafe, Cheri Dennis, Day26, the Lox, and Diddy himself.

“Bad Boy helped make hip hop what it is today — and this collection highlights all the music, history and vision that made Bad Boy number 1.” said Puff Daddy in a statement to Billboard. “We wanted to thank our fans, celebrate the music, the people, and the Bad Boy lifestyle that have defined the past two decades. We’ve always made music that makes the people dance; this collection does all that and more, and it is a celebration of all things Bad Boy.”

The Bad Boy 20th Anniversary Box Set Edition (priced at $49.99) is due Aug. 12 and is now available for pre-order on iTunes.
