The search for Queen Moremi is on…!

…As Beauty Pageant Sets To Promote the rich Yoruba Culture and Heritage
The search for Queen Moremi, the beauty queen that will oversee the empowerment of other women within the southwest region of Nigeria has commenced. This information was released by the team lead of the project, the CEO of Bonah Incorporated and the Moremi Project Director; Dr. Kunle Balogun after a meeting with His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi; Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife, to give him updates about the project.

Dr. Kunle Balogun said, "It’s always a pleasure to be before His Imperial Majesty, and we count that a rare privilege always. Kabiesi has a gift for all the contestants, at least the first 5,000 ladies to get into the contest. The plan albinitio was to put N5,000 as the value on the forms, but His Majesty graciously asked us to make it N2,500. His Majesty said, who knows, the winner might be from the hinterland of Ekiti or Kogi or even Osun State, so the idea is to allow more ladies the opportunity to participate. Sales of forms have started already and we have started receiving contestants. This is a search that has never happened before in the history of Nigeria, so the country should look forward to interesting news coming from us regularly. This search is not about bikinis and all those American dinner gowns, it’s about our heritage, it’s about beauty, it’s about confidence, it’s about depicting the character of Queen Moremi herself, and how creative the ladies and contestants can be with our materials. Nigerians can even download the Moremi theme song from our website", Balogun said.

Speaking also at the briefing was Ayo George; the Assistant Project Director and boss of In-House Entertainment. George said “this is arguably the only pageant in Nigeria that the winner would be called a "Queen" and not the conventional "Miss". The information on how to participate is everywhere. Pay into either of the In-House Entertainment bank accounts in Fidelity or Diamond, hit our website on, fill the form on the contestant page, and you'll receive the form immediately in your mail. Ladies can also follow all our social media platforms for details as they come. For Instagram, we have @queenmoremi1 or @ileifefiesta, twitter is @queenmoremi1, Facebook is "Unveiling Queen Moremi". A lot of information will be coming between now and the grand-finale, so ladies should be glued to their TVs and all our media partners, he concluded.
Unveiling Queen Moremi Ajasoro is aimed at promoting the rich Yoruba culture and heritage, the rich story of the Ile-Ife people, to crown a beauty queen that would go home with a car, a year salary, a showcase across the world, the opportunity for the beauty queen to oversee the empowerment of women with various crafts and skills in order to reduce poverty and promote wealth within the region.
