Nigerians
in different locations across the country have been empowered by Globacom’s
nationwide mobile 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network which is now in 33
cities and towns.
Sixteen
new locations have just been added to the company's 4G network. Among the new
locations are Oregun, Opebi, Isolo, Lagos State University (LASU) and Ikeja all
in Lagos State; the Redemption Camp, The Redeemer’s University, Babcock
University and Redemption Camp in Ogun State; Rukpokwu, Rumuibekwe, Eleme
Junction, Eliozu, Woji, Rumuigbo in River State and as well as Mpape and Utako
in the Federal Capital Territory.
They
joined the earlier rolled out locations in Bonny, Escravos, Forcados, Abraka
(Delta State University), Ekpoma (Ambrose Alli University), Okada (Igbinedion
University), Agbor (College of Education), and Sapele (Western Delta
University), which were launched just a week after Globacom launched its 4G
network.
At
the launch of the service on October 4, 2016, the service became
available immediately in Lagos: Lekki, Ikoyi, V.I, Ajah and Akoka
(South West), Port Harcourt: Aba Road, Trans Amadi, Diobu, Old GRA and UNIPort,
Warri, Eket and Benin (South South), Federal Capital Territory: Maitama, Wuse,
Asokoro, Garki/Central Business District and Airport Road and Jos (North
Central), Yola: ABTI (North East) and Zaria- ABU (North West).
Globacom
said the network will deploy all required resources and manpower to ensure that
Nigerians are up to date in enjoying world-class technology and quality
service.
The
company added that the benefits of 4G/LTE services include superfast
speed of browsing and downloading, which is multiple times faster than the 3G
network. This enables subscribers to download ultra high definition sound and
videos in seconds. The speed of surfing is so fast that some subscribers have
commented that it is too good to be true.
Also
the service comes with free access to millions of music, videos and movies
which the user can download on demand.
The
data bundles are very affordable and range from N50 to N18,000, fitting every
pocket size. For instance, for only N500, subscribers will get a whopping 1.6GB
of data, while N1000 will give them 3.2GB data. Other exciting offers include
7.5GB for N2000, 10GB for N2,500, 18GB for N4000 and 24GB for N5000.
Also
available for subscribers are the new 4G LTE router which gives access to Ultra
High Speed Internet and landline, with free SIM, 60Gb of shareable
data valid for a month , with free world class content. For those who prefer
MiFi, Globacom has bundled a 4G MiFi with free SIM, 60Gb of shareable data
valid for one month and free world-class content.
Globacom
asserts that the Glo 4G LTE services would make life and business more exciting
and convenient for subscribers.
