Rapping
sensation, Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, better known as Phyno, has ported to
Globacom as a brand ambassador.
Phyno has become a household name in the last
couple of years with his distinctive style of music. He uses Igbo language to
rap but has managed to create massive following among the youths of various
tribal extractions.
The creative musician, whose song “Fada-Fada”
rendered in collaboration with Olamide is currently ruling the airwaves, will
be joining other A-listers like Flavour, Timaya, Olamide, Omawumi, Patience
Ozokwor (Mama Gee) and a host of others as Glo brand ambassadors.
The artiste attended the Institute of
Management and Technology, Enugu and started his musical career in 2010. He has
attained a meteoric rise through hard work and commitment.
He stages an annual franchise concert
“Phynofest”, which draws over 50,000 people annually. He has won several awards
and nominations including 2016 Song of the year, 2014 City People Rap Artiste
of the year and 2012 Best Collaboration Award amongst others.
According to Globacom, signing on Phyno as a
brand ambassador is consistent with the company’s commitment to promoting
Nigeria’s entertainment industry. The statement added that the company was delighted
to sign on Phyno who had become ‘a worthy role model’ for Nigerian youths.
Phyno
expressed delight at the development and promised to give his best to add value
to the Globacom brand.
