This summer, all roads will lead to Accra, capital of Ghana for
the maiden edition of Ibom Cultural & Food Fiesta.
The event which is aimed at promoting
the rich cultural heritage of Akwa Ibom State is themed ''Akwa Ibom to the
World'' and billed to hold on 26th August, 2017, at the British Council,
Accra, Ghana.
The fiesta hopes to unite thousands
of Akwa Ibomites living in Ghana, bringing them together with the intent to
showcase and promote the unique and diverse culture of Akwa Ibom in dance,
drama, language, delicacies and music.

Umoren confirms that asides top notch Akwa Ibom sons and daughters expected to
grace the occasion, there will be performances by Akwa Ibom finest high life
maestro, Sir Wilker Jackson, Success - One man band, popular Akwa Ibom
comedian, Sir James and Nigerian Ghana based comedian Pararan. Umoren, an
indigene of Nsit Ubium Area of Akwa Ibom state, a graduate of Sikkim Manipal
University in Ghana where he studied Human Resource Management, confirms that
also expected to make Special guest appearances to grace the event include the
Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment Industry, Mr. David
Sergeant, on Project Monitoring, GodFada, on Social Orientation, Mr. Ekpeno
Gold and Ms. Aquila Otobong Akpan for Student Affairs.
