Telecommunications giant, Globacom, yesterday fulfilled its
promise to its subscribers as the first batch of 7 winners in its GO Russia
Promo, which will ultimately produce 22 winners, departed on an all-expense paid
trip to watch the World Cup Tournament.
The seven winners were accompanied on the trip by Globacom
officials. They are scheduled to visit different tourist attractions,
historical sites and monuments in Russia.

from Ekiti state, Adeoye Adefisoye Simon from Oyo State and Olugbokiki Mukail
Omolola from Ogun State. Others are Orewa Edwin Ehi from Port Harcourt,
Aghaegbunem Marvel Chukwufumnaya from Abuja, Oladunjoye Joseph Babatunde from
Ogun State and Kome Sunny Ikpeba from Delta State.
Globacom felicitated with the lucky voyagers for emerging
winners of the promo and admonished them to be of good conduct as ambassadors
of Nigeria to Russia.
According to the company, “more winners will be unveiled from
the next set of draws to be conducted soon in the GO RUSSIA promo
which was unveiled to reward our amazing subscribers who have stood
solidly behind the brand over the years”.
22 lucky winners will emerge from the promo which runs from
May 16 to July 8, 2018, and is open to all prospective and existing
Prepaid/Postpaid customers on the Glo network nationwide.
While reemphasizing its commitment to the
empowerment of its teeming subscribers, Globacom assured them of
unfettered access to the best value and pricing at all times.
45-year-old Kome Sunny Ikpeba
from Delta State who is one of the fortunate subscribers expressed appreciation
to Globacom for the opportunity accorded him to watch the tournament live and
enthused that ”I have never won anything before, so when I got a call
from Globacom, I was really happy. This is really good”.
Oladunjoye Joseph Babatunde, a Lagos- based cinematographer, also commended Globacom for packaging GO RUSSIA promo.
The Ogun State Indigenesaid, “ I feel good, it is going to be a very
good experience for me. I am a loyal Glo subscriber as I started with
them at inception.”
Agbede Temidayo Bayodele, final year Mechanical Engineering
student of Ekiti State University said the Russian trip was his first overseas
travel and encouraged his colleagues who thought it was a scam to
participate in the promo because "it is for real!"
