It was an atmosphere of love, great bonding, unity and
togetherness at the fore court of the British Council, Accra-Ghana as one
of the most patriotic Nigerian journalist in Ghana, Omobola Precious celebrated one year of the very popular show on Radio
- Omo Naija.
This great event which held over the weekend saw the presence of
dignitaries who came from across the continent to show solidarity and support a
worthy cause. They all came with an aim of assisting in their own way in
ensuring that this radio programme that brings Ghanaians and Nigerians on
the same platform in unity and love is sustained.
Omobola Precious popularly known as Mo Precious who hosts the Omo
Naija Show on Ahortor 92.3 Fm, while giving her opening remarks
appreciated God for how far He has brought her within just one year the
programme was introduced on Radio. She said that her inspiration is her earnest
desire to see a more unified relationship between Ghana and Nigeria. She
explained that these two countries have come a long way even before
independence so there is a need to support initiatives that promotes its unity.
She commended Hon. Ofosu Ampofo, the
MD/CEO of Ahortor FM for giving her
the opportunity to showcase her God given talent. She promised that in the
coming years, she would never relent in introducing more creative ideas that
would always hold listeners spell bound and constantly tuned to Ahortor fm.
The Chief Launcher for the day, Alhaji Bisi Dundu told the excited audience that Mo' Precious
should be supported in every way possible as she is among the many other
Nigerians that are doing their best to promote the country in Diaspora.
He said that his interaction with people since he arrived for the event has
been one of commendations and love for this young woman who is bracing all odds
to make impact. He promised never to relent in supporting her since she is
fully committed to a positive cause.
The Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Ayokanmi Ogunremi said that it’s so amazing seeing a young girl
from Nigeria competing with the best in a foreign land. He said that listening
to the show hosted by Omo Precious would always make even the depressed
get excited because of her humorous nature . He agreed to the observation by
one of the Guests that you can't meet Mo' Precious and remain sad. He assured
of his unflinching support to her to ensure the show never dies.
The Program Manager of Ahotor FM, Mr Larry Lanson urged everyone especially Nigerians in Ghana to
support their sister because she has much inside of her that a little more push
would take her to the next level of success. He made a promise on behalf of the
Radio station to always give the needed support to Mo 'Precious to deliver on
her mission.
During the course of the event, a new logo was launched for the
Omo Naija show which depicts an entirely new level for the host and
her crew. A toast was made for a more beautiful relationship between these two
giants of Africa and also for more grace, outstanding success and bright future
for Ahotor Fm.
The Father of the day for the event was H.E Olufemi Micheal Abikoye and
other special guests included Pastor
Ishola Akintunde, Mr Jason Bailey, Alhaji Baba who is the CEO of Marhaba FM, Accra.
Organizers hope to return next year with another initiative that
would be mind blowing.
