Dignitaries from all walks of life relished great moments
at the 2018 Impactful Women Award /
Lecture on Breast Cancer which held at the ultra-modern event auditorium of
UDS Guest House, Accra- Ghana.
Several women who are making impact in their different
fields of endeavor gathered at the venue to receive different categories of
Award viz Education, Youth Advocacy/Empowerment, Business , Health, Social
Work, Journalism, Humanitarian services etc. The theme of the event was ‘’ Celebrating Creativity and Hardwork of
the African Woman’’.
Comrade Barry Ndu Nwaihim, the convener of Impactful Women Award (IWA) stated in
an interview with our international correspondent that the essence of the event
was to celebrate women who are doing great things across the world and
encourage them to keep doing more. He noted that most times in the African
setting, women are relegated to the background meanwhile more women are
becoming breadwinners of homes, CEO in different organizations and trail
blazers. Comrade Barry explained that the best way to get the best out of
achievers is to continuously encourage them. He frowned at the instances where
people who are impacting society are allowed to die before families and government
spend so much money to bury them. He called on African government to place
emphasis on the empowerment of young women as they have the capacity to bring
new ideas and creativity in government. He also advised guests to take note
from the lecture on Breast Cancer so they can put into use all that is needed
to properly take care of their body system to prevent cancer.
Jennifer Adaeze, a health specialist from Nigeria who was the Guest
Speaker gave an intelligent lecture on Pathophysiology, Risk Factors, Symptoms
Diagnostic Parameters, Treatment and Cancer warning signs. She explained the different
symptoms of cancer and ways of prevention. Jennifer thrilled the audience with
an amazing definition of class in her presentation. She said cancer can also be
found in men so every living being should do everything within their capacity
to always check up their body system. During the Question and Answer session,
all the questions that came from the guests got a response.
The recipients of the award included Joy Obi, the first certified female Mercedes Benz specialist in
Nigeria, Joyce Jambiedu, Reyhanath Toure Mamadou, Davog
Global Impact led by Eunice Ogbeide,
Lady Adeola Adeleye- Fasubaa, Lydia Nana Ama Baiden, Elizabeth Dzifah, Madam Anthonia Oguah and so many others.

building a prosperous society. She assured of her personal commitment to
consistently impact women even in the rural areas. She asked Government to
