On July 19, 1994, 25
years ago, all Yoruba sons and daughters living in North America took the first
historic step that led to the creation of Egbé Omo Yorùbá North America
(EOYNA), a.k.a., the National
Association of Yoruba Descendants in North America. The purpose and mission of the organization
at inception is to advocate for a stronger economic and social equality in
communities that make up Yorubaland in Nigeria and abroad.
As at today, Egbé Omo
Yorùbá North America is always at the forefront of synergy that promote unity
among Yoruba people, we advocate progress, and empowerment of Yoruba people
living in Nigeria and around the world. We support all Yoruba in diaspora, and
encourage them to embrace peaceful relationships based on equity, and love
toward one another.
Effective from January
to July 2019, we will be sharing OUR STORIES with the world. We
will tell 25 stories of how the Egbé Omo Yorùbá North America has affected the
lives of Yoruba across the globe. These stories will be shared on all available
social media pages, as well as in the print and electronic media outlets.
As a token of crowning
our achievements, the grand finale of 25th Anniversary of the Egbé Omo Yorùbá North
America under the Chairmanship of Hon. Dipo Ogunrinde, the Chief Executive Officer Convention/25th Anniversary Organizing Committee, will take place during the National
Convention/Anniversary ceremony between July 17th – 21st, 2019, at the prestigious Crowne Plaza Hotel, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA.

“Positioning Egbe Omo Yoruba For Assuring Yorùbá Ascendancy”.

We’re expecting over
500 people from all over the world, the USA local chapters/members, and many members
of the host community to attend the EOYNA 25th Anniversary.
Notable Royal Fathers, Obas, Chiefs, Politicians, Business People and
Yoruba Sons & Daughters will also attend the anniversary.
We will like to share
the story of Egbé
