EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH MEDIA PEROSNALITY, TOSIN “CUTEKIMANI” ADEKEYE
She started off as a reporter at the Unilag FM during her school days at the University of Lagos and today, she’s one of the fast rising On-air Personality in Nigeria. Tosin Adekeye popularly known in the media circle as CuteKimani is fast turning into a serial media personality as she’s involved in many aspects of the media from TV, Print, Social Media to Online Radio and more. In this interview, she let us into her world. Enjoy!
What's been happening to Cute Kimani?
The brand CuteKimani is a combination of so many things inside the box "Media Personality". The brand CuteKimani puts forward the On-air personality CuteKimani, the Online personality, host of the only Twitter interview in Nigeria #KimanioffAir, and lastly the brand CuteKimani under the PR company Estol Props Media handles Media and Public Relations for the Music and lifestyle channel -AfroMusic Pop TV ( DStv Channel 326).
How did you get the name Cute Kimani?
The name CuteKimani evolved over time. While in the University of Lagos, I was working at UnilagfFM as a reporter and also working with a magazine called Bif Magazine and my bit was to get scoops, gossips and reveal the faces behind cultism; get pictures of lecturers caught in the act, etc. So I needed a name to hide under and I chose "MYSTIQUE", in class I was called Esther, on radio Fantasia. When I graduated in 2008 and left for Port Harcourt, I met Mr. Gibson Lee, the then manager of Silverbird Group in Port Harcourt, and he asked what name I will like to be called if I get the opportunity to work in Rhythm FM and I Google up various names but I wanted a name that is African and defined my persona until I found Kimani, which meant "Smart, Sexy and Successful" in Ethiopia.

Lionel Messi spurs Cristiano Ronaldo on to greatness, says Zinedine Zidane

Zinedine Zidane has put Cristiano Ronaldo's incredible goalscoring feats down to his rivalry with Lionel Messi.The Real Madrid superstar recently passed 500 career goals for club and country, in 754 matches, while he has 324 strikes in 309 games for Los Blancos.
Messi has so far amassed 418 goals for Barca, in 493 outings, including 73 strikes in his record-breaking campaign of 2011-12.
Ronaldo overtook Spanish legend Raul, who was the club's all-time leading scorer on 323 goals, and Zidane, who currently coaches Real's B team, thinks the forward benefits from Messi being around at the same time.
"Fifty to 55 goals per season is just not human," Zidane told French TV programme Canal Football Club.
"But you should see him at training. At training, he's a guy who every ball, every match, every corner... he wants to score, he wants to win.
"And when he scores he does the same thing he does in a match. He's happy and he falls to his knees [to celebrate]... it's incredible.
"There's a feature in all of that and it's that there's another player opposite who pushes him. That's to say the rivalry he has with Messi.
"He doesn't need that [to perform]. But what keeps him scoring 55 to 60 goals a season is the fact that he says to himself 'this year I have to score one more than the other guy every time.'"
Zidane has also played down reports of a potential switch to Paris Saint-Germain for Ronaldo.
The Portuguese has been linked with a big-money move to the French capital, but Zizu doubts if that will be the case.
"He's the best player in the world so it's normal that you'd want to sign Ronaldo," the 1998 World Cup winner added.
"But he's comfortable at Real... since Raul left he's really become the other legend of the club."

Glo Dance With Peter: 30 finalists compete for Crown
Organizers
of the Dance With Peter reality TV show will this weekend pull the veil
to reveal the 30 dancers who have qualified to compete for the coveted
crown.
A statement from the headquarters of the
sponsors of the show, national telecom operator, Globacom, said the finalists
will be unveiled during the telecast of the show on Africa Magic, AIT, and MTV
Base. Africa Magic Urban (Channel 153 on DSTV) airs the show on Saturdays
from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., while AIT broadcasts it every
Sunday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Similarly, the programme will run on
MTV Base on Wednesdays from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Globacom announced in the statement that the
breakdown of the thirty finalists shows that Abuja produced eight dancers;
Ghana, five; and Benin, six. On the other hand, five dancers were
selected from Port Harcourt and six from Lagos.
The eight dancers selected from the Abuja
auditions are Biodun Ibrahim (27), Omoregie Amenze Blessing (17), Samson
Atuonwu (27), Yemi Osokoya (24), Kelvin Ayanruoh (24), Olokor Godric (23),
Miracle Nelson (21), and Mariam Ahmed (29). From Ghana are five dancers, Dibebe
Lea (24), Julius Fakta (23), Samuel Mensah (22), Nartey Mannaseh (26) and
Jonathan Tetteh (27).
WE GOT EVERYONE SINGING AND DANCING TO YUDALA YUDALA YUDALA
It has been a total frenzy from the moment the
explosive Yudala song by Iyanya dropped in the Nigerian music industry.
To celebrate the launch of the Yudala website
on the 31st of August 2015, the Social team decided to go on a
quest to find the Yudala champion with the ‘YU SING YU DANCE’ Competition,
which required participants to send in a creative 15-second video in tune with
the Yudala song, using the hashtags ‘#YUDance’ or ‘#YUSing’.
Little did they realize what they were getting
themselves into as hundreds of videos poured in on the Yudala Instagram page.
The contest was designed to avail Nigerians the
opportunity to showcase their singing and dancing skills with a chance to win
the grand prize of a free iPhone6 and a
luxurious date with the ‘Kukere’ master himself, Iyanya. That is not all,
consolation prizes of HP Slate Voice Tablet 6 were also up for grabs for the
runner ups.
After a fierce competition, the winner, by the
name Deborah was picked by Iyanya based on her creativity alongside
3 other runner ups who won the HP tablets. The winner had a
sumptuous lunch date with Iyanya at the exotic Four Points by
Sheraton.
