Having just
received an endorsement from the Lagos State Government, a new TV reality show,
Ignite TV is set to transform the lives of young business owners in Nigeria.
An
initiative of the After School Graduate Development Centre in partnership with
the Lagos State Government, the show involves 300 budding entrepreneurs
jostling for the top spot in 26 episodes.
Filmed
before a live audience of young entrepreneurs, each episode is packed with
fresh business nuggets, heated tutorial/motivational sessions, which often
feature guest speakers selected from a pool of accomplished entrepreneurs and
business leaders who have surmounted various odds to succeed in their various
field of business.
Moderated by
Mrs. Ibukun Awosika, the show provides budding entrepreneurs with an
interactive forum for skill-development, networking, and mentoring.
“Ignite TV
as the name suggests, is a great undertaking for me, I look forward to working
with these young, vibrant minds,” Awosika states.
“We already
have an impressive record of tackling unemployment and driving small businesses.
Now we are partnering with the After School Development Centre on Ignite
Enterprise project to provide practical tools to teach young people how to
build businesses and crate employment for others,” Lagos state Governor, Mr.
Babatunde Fashola, was also quoted as saying.
The
