Dr. David Olukoya, General Overseer of Mountain of Fire
Miracle Ministries, amazed over 77 first class graduates on Saturday, April 6,
2013, when he splashed about N40 million on them.
Insiders squealed to ENCOMIUM Weekly that the fiery clergy
dashed over 77 members of his ministry who graduated from different tertiary
institutions across the world N500,000 each.
Information available to ENCOMIUM Weekly has it that during
the ministry’s monthly programme tagged Power Must Change Hands at their
popular multibillion naira Prayer City, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, he
surprised everybody when he called out 77 graduates who bagged first class in
their respective fields across the globe and gave them a cheque of N500,00
each.
Information available to ENCOMIUM Weekly revealed that he had
earlier requested that all graduates of the ministry submit their results to
the church council. The panel then verified the numerous results submitted and
gave Dr. Olukoya the names of graduates who finished between 2011 and 2012.
“Dr. Olukoya is someone who appreciates and rewards
excellence. He actually started the award of Excellence in 2011. In 2011, he
gave 17 first class graduates brand new Kia cars. In 2012, he gave about 20
first class graduates a car each.
But during the verification in January 2013, the panel was
amazed that over 77 students of the ministry graduated with first class. Thus,
he decided to give them cash to motivate them to go for their masters’
programme.
Dr. Olukoya is the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and
Miracle Ministries. He holds a first class honours degree in Microbiology from
the University of Lagos, and a Ph.D in Molecular Genetic from the University of
Reading, United Kingdom. He is married to Pastor (Mrs.) Shade Olukoya and the
union is blessed with a son, Elijah.
