Kofo
who just got evicted at the ongoing MTN Project Fame West Africa7.0 has made
history by releasing what people referred to as a hit single less than two
weeks after eviction. The song titled DEM BOIZ by KOFO was released precisely
this week.
In
the history of the musical competition after eviction most especially at this
stage it has never been heard or talked about that a song was or has been
released in the past six seasons. But Kofo of Season Seven has broken the jinx
this time around showing determination and commitment.
In
her speech Kofo said “Having gotten evicted does not mean you are not talented,
I couldn’t get enough votes, if my parents or friends were very rich they would
have voted more even though the whole of Mushin and Ilupeju tried keeping me in
the academy God knows best”.
She
further mentioned “But even at this I really want the whole world and my
fans to know that my talent and ability which they believed in will be exhibited
outside the academy”
Talking
about her experience in the academy the young female talented singer and
keyboardist said “ I have really learnt a lot from the MTN Project Fames
Academy, which really reflects in this new track. The whole of the faculty and
judges have really tried their best in making us better singers and performers”
Psychologically
she explains “I have never been down because if not I wouldn’t have been able
to do what I did now if I had allowed that get into me. We are not the first
and will not be the last to be evicted. It’s a competition and one person must
win and the fact that you didn’t win does not make you a loser”
The
history has been made, pace set for others by this young, bold, energetic
,vibrant female vocalist and keyboardist who is determined, focused and
never relent on what she believes in.MTN Project Fame is a very big platform
for excellence which amongst other platforms has produced several
super stars and icons ,this league is where KOFO despite not winning is part of
no doubt.
After
the listening of this single many clubs and lounges have hosted and many more
still on the list to host this young star. Amongst the clubs are Club Eclipse
Akoka, Club Envee, Aguda, Troy Lounge, Lekki, The Place, Ikeja, Neighbourhood
