Federal Polytechnic Bauchi admits 10,922 students
The Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, says it has admitted 10,922 students out of the 21,000 students that applied for admission during the 2014/2015 academic session.
Mr Shuiabu Musa, the Rector of the institution, said this on Saturday in Bauchi while matriculating the admitted students.
Musa said that the institution had also constructed new 510-seat capacity multi-purpose halls for Departments of Mass Communication, Agriculture and Environmental Technology.
He said that the institution had renovated both the male and female hotels and bought 500 mattress and pillows.
According to him, the school management has also constructed road and acquired acquired 10,000 litres water tanker, among other facilities.
He said that all academic programmes of the institution had been accredited while it had introduced new programmes in Statistics, Building, Nutrition and Dietary, Marketing and Public Administration.
The rector said that the institution had also established a School of Agriculture with Department of Forestry Technology and Animal Health and Production Technology.
Hajiya Rukaya Arabi, the Registrar of the institution, had earlier warned the students against indecent dressing, cultism, examination malpractices and other vices while on the campus.
