Michigan State, USA based Nigerian artistes
Chinedu Nchekwube (Spinner) and Sesugh Ubwa (Swizzy), together known as “SOS”,
lead a new wave of Afro music hits coming from the Midwest region of the United
States of America. The group was formed after three Nigerian students studying
in Calvin College, Michigan, USA, bonded over a Calvin African A-cappella
practice session in 2012.

When asked about his company’s working
relationship with “SOS”, this is what Mr. Bishop has to say “The Atlanta Hip
Hop culture has made a major impact not only in the country but throughout the
world. This year marks the 24th Core DJs Conference and 20th
year of the largest Hip Hop showcase in the Southeast, the “Birthday Bash”.
“Birthday Bash 20” will be an epic experience with a phenomenal line up of
performances including Future, Ludacris, Wale, Mike Will Presents, Migo’s,
K Camp, DJ Drama and more, so to have “SOS” duo coming through to be part of
history is epic and we ain’t taking no chances
About The Song “Biakene”
Biakene is a persuasive way of saying “come”
in Igbo language. The inspiration for the song came when one female friend
of the group interrupted a studio session and Spinner called her back into the
studio in Igbo.
Suddenly, the SOS crew made jokes out of the
situation and thereafter, formed a song from it!
