and Beauty Queen cum Actress - Mina Horsfall is a year older today.
Multiple award
winning actress- Lady Mina Horsfall hails from Kalabari, Rivers State, she is
graduate of English from the Lagos State University.
In 2008, she won Miss
Values Nigeria and that earned her the ticket to represent Nigeria at Miss
Leisure World In China, where she made top 25 out of 75 world beauties and
second for Africa. She did not rest on her hoarse, In 2013, she won best
supporting Actress in Nollywood by Classic Africa Merit Award, Most outstanding
personality of the year by Nollyfans GBEDU AWARDS for her contribution in the
Entertainment industry in Nigeria.
She is most famous
for her lead roles in movies like; My House-help, Red-night, Under The Sky,
Area Mama, The Empress, Beyonce and Rihanna. She has also played lead roles in
TV series D8, Dilemma of Love, The Journey and Going West season 1. Her Guest
appearances also added pep to series like One Love, Spider, Tinsel, Secrets and
Scandals, she hinted that she is currently working on a new series from the
stable of Tendencies Media, the producers of TOGETHER AND DILEMMA OF LOVE
FAMILY SERIES, and a few other productions to be out in the market before the
end of the year.
Although not to be
televised or publicized, Mina's birthday activities begins officially with her
visit to the motherless babies home, to be followed by a Get together with friends
at Palazzo Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The birthday groove
cruises to Polo Club- Port Harcourt next weekend, where Mina will play host to
Nollywood folks and high society personalities in oil rich Rivers State,
confirmed to grace the occasion are Walter Hanger and Bovi Ogohinma.
In her birthday
message, she stated 'It’s my 13th year in
the movie/ entertainment industry, as such, I have been on a low key because I
don't want to be involved in anything and everything, I am in a world of my
own, I only want to be involved in meaningful ventures'. It is not farfetched
that coincidentally, the down to earth lady is to be honoured on Sunday with an
award as Nollywood Personality by Trek Magazine - The African Woman Award.
When asked what she
does outside entertainment, she was apt to state her love for wines, which
inspired her establishment of her company - Mish Concepts Limited, an Events,
Winery, Corporate Gifts supply outfit.
You are sure to be
served the best of wines, but both events in Lagos and Port Harcourt are
strictly by invitation.
