Data subscribers on
the platform of national telecommunications operator, Globacom, will henceforth
enjoy a new bonus offer intended to give them enhanced access to the internet.
The package gives
internet users on the Glo network 6 gigabytes of data for only N3,000
subscription, with a one-month validity period.
The company, in the
same breadth, has introduced a new N4,000 data plan with a one month validity
period. There was hitherto no N4,000 plan.
Disclosing the new
developments in Lagos, Ashok Israni, Globacom’s Regional Chief Marketing
Officer, said that the N3,000 subscription hitherto offered the customer only
4.5GB data.
On how to enjoy the
fantastic new data offers, he explained that all the subscriber needs to do is
to dial *777# and follow the interactive SMS prompt.
He added that the
offers were being given at this time to empower subscribers to keep browsing
after the Christmas and festive seasons.
“We know that our
subscribers must have spent a lot of money during the yuletide season. As
the New Year begins, we are giving more for less to our valued subscribers to
keep them connected on the internet.”
Besides the huge
extra 1.5 GB data on the new package, Israni said, the subscriber would also
enjoy the super fast data capacity.
“The bumper data
offers ride on Globacom’s huge data infrastructure backed by the high capacity
Glo 1 submarine cable, which brings direct connectivity between West Africa and
the rest of the world. The facility provides much faster and more robust
connectivity for voice, data and video.”
The new offer
complements the Twin Bash which gives subscribers who recharge with N200,
up to 200 MB of data worth N800, along with full value of the airtime
recharged. The Twin Bash recharge, which is the best deal for voice and data in
Nigeria can easily be done by dialling *223*pin#. The Twin Bash offer is also
available on the N500, N1000 and N2000 data recharge plans.
“The 6 and 9 GB data
offers are therefore, the icing on the cake following the unprecedented Twin
Bash gift to Glo subscribers,” Israni added.
