The
Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has appointed actor, John Dumelo
as tourism ambassador of Ghana.
The
actor made the appointment known in a post on Instagram Wednesday.
John
Dumelo made the announcement with a photograph of himself and Mrs. Elizabeth
Ofosu-Agyare, Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts.
He
said, “Happy to be appointed tourism ambassador by the Minister of tourism. I’m
happy to promote Tourism in Ghana and also sell Ghana to the rest of the world.

Before
his appointment, John has been at forefront of highlighting the tourism
potentials of Ghana. He has travelled to several tourist sites including the
famous Larabanga Mosque in the Northern region.
Earlier
this month, Mrs Ofosu-Agyare hinted that the tourism ministry was looking at
making Abraham Attah Ghana’s tourism ambassador.
The
minister, speaking at the launch of the 11th Kkwahu Paragliding Festival, noted
that the Beast of No Nation star had made Ghana proud and deserved to be
celebrated.
