Prinyanka hit the limelight when she won the 2000 Miss India Beauty Pageant (at 17 she was in school to be an engineer when her mother secretly sent in photos of her for a Miss India contest). A feat that later transformed her into a national celebrity and paved the way for her acting career.

Prinyanka's love for books 

Prinyanka has starred in more than 50 Bollywood movies and several commercials. She recently made the cast of the latest Blockbuster, "The Jungle Book" (Hindu version), where she voiced the character of Kaa - The Snake. 

She exhibits her singing prowess on the hit show, 'Quantico'. As a singer, she has released three singles and a record deal with Universal Music Group. 

Pryanka is one of the most bankable Indian actors and has represented many brands, including TAG Heuer, Pepsi, Nokia, Garnier, Guess and Nestlé; she was the first female representative of Hero Honda.
