A after a successful run in 2015 which saw Miss Esther Chiamaka Chukwujekwu emerging as the first Queen, “Miss Kanekalon” pageant is back with full force! 
Beautiful and talented African ladies and creative stylist will once again have a unique opportunity of exhibiting their talents as KANEKA CORPORATION JAPAN, the proud manufacturer of KANEKALON fiber offered through your favourite hair products from Darling, Nina and X-pression has announced the 2nd year for “Miss Kanekalon” pageant. 
This year’s Miss Kanekalon 2016 is sure to be even more exciting, as it has expanded entry applications to include single African woman residing in Nigeria or Ghana between the ages of 18- 25. 
The 2015 “Miss Kanekalon” finals which was held in November at the Landmark Event Center, Victoria Island, Lagos was a memorable event that had 20 finalists and their teeming stylists from across Nigeria gathered to showcase their breathtaking talent and style.

The pageant saw the emergence of Miss Esther Chiamaka Chukwujekwu who was crowned as the first Queen, going home with a whooping 2million Naira and a brand new Toyota Yaris, with Miss Abisola Salawu and Miss Elma Mbadiwe in first and second runner up positions, respectively. There were displays of creative and beautiful hair styles by various talented hair stylists and the event had the winning stylists went home with various career boosting prizes.

Taking a cue from last year’s hugely successful event,
KANEKA CORPORATION JAPAN has promised to break its own record and see to it that no value will be compromised in this year’s search of the “True African beauty” in Nigeria and Ghana.
So how can you apply? 
Click on the Kanekalon Africa Facebook page,  to apply online, or, grab an application form handed out at beauty salons, respective campuses amongst other. 

Application closing date currently set is in early September, followed by auditions which will be held in Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Accra Ghana in October.  The grand finale which will see the 20 FINALISTS and their teaming hair stylists competing their way to the much coveted crown of Miss Kanekalon 2016 comes up in November 2016 and will be held in Lagos, Nigeria.

It is worthy to note that, every hairstyle would be made with the Kanekalon high fiber extensions, each stylist sharing the details and inspiration of the hairstyles they have styled for their model.
So get ready for the bigger and better 2ndyear of Miss Kanekalon
