Celebrities Storm Ibadan for JAMZ FM 100.FM Launch

A new Radio station, Jamz FM was launched in the ancient city of Ibadan, Oyo state capital on Friday, October 28, 2016. Transmitting on the Frequency Modulation 100.1 bandwidth, the new Radio station commenced official broadcasting on Wednesday October 19, 2016 after months of test transmission.

In line with its tagline ‘Real Radio, Real People’ Jamz FM 100.1FM is set to redefine radio broadcasting in Ibadan by giving the listeners a new experience in Radio broadcasting through its well thought out programming which is a balanced blend of entertainment through Music, News, Sports and Interactive phone-in shows.

As part of the activities for the launch of the radio station, select celebrities including leading music stars - Reminisce, 9ice, YCEE as well as leading Nollywood Stars, Olaniyi Afonja (Sanyeri) and Aisha Abimbola (Omoge Campus). The celebrities were live on the radio for several hours.

Located in Felele area of Ibadan, the radio station owned by Abraham & Isaac Limited and led by veteran broadcaster Femi Sowoolu is fast becoming the toast of radio lovers in Ibadan and its environ.

Speaking on the vision of Jamz FM 100.1 FM Ibadan, the stations Managing Director, Mr. Femi Sowoolu explained that the station aimed to become the most adored broadcast medium in the entire South West region of Nigeria within the shortest possible time.

“We aimed at positioning Jamz100.1 FM as the go-to music, entertainment, and lifestyle companion for individuals and businesses, with the vision to be a youthful, culturally-inclined radio station that seeks to create a lasting relationship through music and entertainment” he said.

He stated further that the station is a developmental station with the objective to bring social information, news, and public affairs to the mainstream while operating within the purview of the law and ethical standards.

“We bring to the listeners a unique, refreshing radio experience, our programming and style of presentation is breezy yet informative, factual and designed to appeal to a wide listening audience made up of both primary and overflowing targets- young, youthful and young at heart” he added.

In line with the brand promise to give the target audience unconventional experience, Jamz 100.1 FM hosted fans and the select celebrities to a noiseless party held at the Mauve 21 Lounge, Ring Road, Ibadan.
