Telecommunications data giant, Globacom, has encouraged
Nigerians not to despair but rather to have faith in themselves in the actions
of government and in God for an economic turnaround in 2017.
Globacom expressed confidence
that 2017 will be a “defining moment in Nigeria’s quest for exponential
transformation,” saying that the New Year presents a new lease of life for the
country to begin the journey to economic recovery.
According to Globacom, government has put in place some
economic measures aimed at yielding positive dividends therefore Nigerians
should continue to work hard to making Nigerian economy better in 2017.
The company solicited the people’s support to government efforts at revamping
the economy through patriotism, sacrifice, perseverance, unity and resilience.
In a goodwill message released from the company’s headquarters
in Lagos to all Nigerians at the dawn of the year 2017, Globacom encouraged all
to draw on the “can-do” Nigerian spirit, faith and resourcefulness to overcome
the effects of the current recession and make 2017 a more prosperous year.
The company prayed that God
would heal Nigeria and grant its leaders the wisdom to take the country to
greater heights.
“Being alive to witness the
birth of a new year is a germane reason for gratitude. It imbues humanity
with a resurgence to grapple with existentialist challenges as well as igniting
new streams of energies to face what the New Year offers. A vast majority of
Nigerians are optimistic that government would take the country to greater
heights this New Year,” Globacom observed.
According to Globacom, it is
ready to provide high quality voice, data and Short Messaging Service (SMS)
during and beyond the New Year holidays. It called on subscribers who are yet
to experience the Glo 4G LTE to do so without delay so as to move their lives
and businesses to a new speed lane with endless possibilities.
