Subscribers gush over Glo mega offers on social media

Subscribers to Nigeria’s fully integrated telecommunications solutions provider, Globacom, have taken to the social media and other platforms to show their appreciation of the latest offers from the company.

Globacom last Monday introduced new concepts in customer appreciation in the country with the launch of two major initiatives tagged Everyday Bonanza and Glo Jumbo SIM as well as announcement of October 31st as another Free Data Day.

The first initiative, Everyday Bonanza, allows thousands of Glo subscribers to win different prizes ranging from Flat Screen LED TV sets to 4G-LTE phones, generators, refrigerators, Microwave ovens and 4G-LTE MiFis every day for the duration of the offer.

Every Sunday while the offer lasts, a lucky Glo subscriber will win the grand prize of a brand new car. All a subscriber needs to do to qualify for the draws and stand a chance of winning any of the life-impacting prizes is to recharge his or her phone with at least N100.
The more they recharge the better their chances of winning.

In the second offer, tagged Glo Jumbo SIM, Glo subscribers will get N200, 000 worth of free airtime once they purchase the special SIM.

The two offers are also coinciding with the third edition of the company’s Free Data Day happening on October 31, 2017.

Viacom Africa’s Alex Okosi, is the latest high ranking media executive to join a line-up of industry-leading speakers at the Children's Global Media Summit, which is scheduled for Manchester, UK, from 5-7 December, 2017. 

Curated by the BBC, CGMS 2017 will focus on five themes of education, empowerment, entertainment, innovation and freedom. Alex Okosi has been scheduled to address delegates at the event.

Comedy Central Grab The Mic Auditions Wrap Up In Jos


The recently concluded auditions of Comedy Central Grab The Mic indeed proved to be the platform from which Nigeria’s next comedy king will emerge. The final phase of the auditions, which was rounded off in Jos, on October 28, saw the very best of comedic talents churning out hilarious materials non-stop for a ticket to the grand finale.
Self confident, harmed with their very best jokes and ready to take a shot at the grand prize of N1.5 million, the up and coming humorists thronged the Silk Suites; venue for the audition in Jos.

Following previously held auditions in Lagos and Port Harcourt, the Jos leg of the auditions was the final leg of the regional auditions.  The City of Jos is well known for producing some of Nigeria’s biggest entertainment figures and this time around, the city indeed produced some very fine comedic talents. Despite the chilly weather, hopefuls came out to take a shot at stardom
The audition was a spectrum of diverse emotions; from tears of joy to that of despair for not making it to the next stage of the competition. The comic output of the contestants was not limited to their time on stage as some of them came adorned in attires that were an embodiment of comedy.

Project Fame Season 7 Winner, Jeff Akoh Makes Big Debut With Lokoja Album


Ex-winner of Project Fame West Africa, Jeff Akoh stakes a claim as Nigeria’s next big music sensation with the release of his first body of work entitled Lokoja.

Lokoja, a 16 track album, is officially released internationally across all digital stores today, Friday, October 27th as the singer’s 21st birthday gift.

The album is the creative brainchild of Nigerian entertainment powerhouse, Temple Management Company (TMC) through its music subsidiary, Temple Music (TMPL) and foremost American showbiz company, Roc Nation.

Jeff Akoh dazzled judges with his amazing voice and showmanship in 2015 to emerge as the best singer in West Africa.
